...put his shirt on near the ceiling fan. This morning Ben was getting ready for work and I was on the bed, when he goes to put his shirt on, hits the fan, and an entire blade goes shooting off! Luckily, Ben's hand is ok. The fan on the other hand...not looking so good. He literally snapped off an entire blade. Guess the guy who put it in was a little shorter...

A Weekend of Football
Fall means football in the Holm house. Some of our friends in our ward have a son who plays on the high school team around here, and it was their homecoming game, so we went. We felt old pulling up in our SUV and sitting in the "parents" section. We loved it though. I always enjoy the cheers, band, people watching, and of course the concession stand snacks :)
Ben enjoying his funnel cake (he loves these things)
Sporting some of our new clothes from mom. The coat and sweater were perfect football apparel. We headed to the movie "Wallstreet" after the game. Bad idea. We should know by now that I can't stay awake when a movie starts that late :)
The next day we headed to Evanston to check out Northwestern. One of Ben's co-workers gave us football tickets, and this is one of the schools Ben would love to go for grad school, so it was the perfect opportunity.
Fun to see a different college stadium. Not nearly as big as BYU's, but it was shaped like a castle.
The football weekend wouldn't be complete without the Vikings game today. Luckily, for the mood of my husband, they won. Notice I even caught the final score in the picture!
Yes, I have a Vikings jersey. Ben bought this for me as soon as we got married. How could I be a good wife without one ;) It was a dream weekend for Ben, and luckily I do enjoy football.
The Warning Girls Come to Town!
Last weekend my mom, sister, and niece came to visit. I LOVED having them here and felt so old actually having a place for them to stay :) We went out to eat, visited downtown, played games, and got in lots of shopping (thanks mom!...and dad for letting her :)
So fun having Grace show us her new walking skills!
We had intense matches of "Identity Crisis" and "Cranium" multiple nights at Bryce & Camille's
We were wondering why so many people were downtown...then we realized the Chicago Symphony was playing that night! It is such a cool amphi-theater type set-up
We met Harvey Unga (played football at BYU, now plays for the Chicago Bears), and his wife, Keilani downtown at the Bean. They were so nice, it was exciting to meet them!
The park where Obama gave his acceptance speech. This is mom and Becca's true feelings about Obama taking office...
Grace and Graham were cute little cousins together. They loved our scarcrow since it was just their size. The scarcrow got many hugs and kisses (and a little stomping :)
Quite the kissing face
Grandma with her babies
Mom pointed out that the next time all 3 of the Warning kids will be together isn't until next April :( So we had to document us now! We're all grown up!

Chicago Temple
Ben and I made our first trip together to the Chicago temple today. Ben had been to it before when he was a kid (before Minnesota got a temple), but it was my first time. It was a great experience; I just love a date to the temple! And to top it off, we stopped for a blizzard on the way home and made it back for the BYU football game. A perfect Saturday :)
Camping in Wisconsin
A few weekends ago we went camping at Devils Lake in Wisconsin with Bryce, Camille, and Graham. Ben and I aren't exactly what I would call "campers" (it might have taken us a good hour to put up our tent... :), but Bryce and Camille convinced us to go, and we were very glad we did.
This boy sure loves camping! At one point he was literally rolling in the dirt. The highlight, however, is when we drew on Basil’s (their bulldog) butt with a purple magic marker. Her white fur was just a blank canvas.
We had fun staying up playing cards and the next day we went on a hike that had great views of the lake (and made me realize I’m out of shape :) Then we put on our swimsuits and relaxed at the lake. It was a great trip and a good chance to ease our way in to the whole camping thing :)
