6 Month Stats:
Weight: 20 lbs 1 oz
Length: 26.5 in
Head: 44.6 cm
Basically he's a big baby, with a big head, and average height. He has started moving in to his 12-18 month clothes.
New tricks & updates:
-Rolling. Can roll both directions and rolls all over place until he hits a wall/gets stuck under the bed/etc.
-Toes. Loves to grab his feet, and for some reason I think that is one of the cutest things babies do.
-Sitting. Can sit up on his own and play with toys (Makes things much easier!) Still falls occasionally and has gotten a few lovely goose eggs.
-Squealing. Even though it's a happy noise, this boy can be SO loud! Paige will cover her ears and say "Deacon, too loud. Deacon's noisy". He just loves to yell.
-Eating. Loves baby food and now can eat puffs/melts/etc. The one thing he hates, unfortunately, is a bottle. Breast milk (at any temperature, in any bottle, mixed with apple juice, even put in a go-go squeeze container), is just not good enough for him. Straight from the "source" or nothing. He hits the bottle away, screams, and refuses. Just a little stubborn...
-Hair pulling. This boy makes me tempted to chop my hair. And he loves Paige's hair even more. Multiple times a day I will hear Paige screaming "Mom, Deacon's pulling my hair. Deacon, seriously?!"
-Sleeping. Still a great sleeper. Paige and him basically sleep about the same at night now, going down around 7:30/8:00, waking up between 6-6:30. He takes 2 naps, the second one at the same time as Paige's nap (best part of the day). But this little stinker still thinks he should be rocked, and since they share a room, I have been lazy and cave in. Spoiled boy.
-Diaper changes. Still loves getting his diaper changed and being naked. And of course I can't resist a good thigh-roll tickle, his most ticklish spot.
-Mama's boy. He's become a little more clingy and aware if I leave. Does not like to be left in a room and struggles a little if we leave him with anyone else.
-Sweet siblings. Deacon adores Paige. The other day I was so frustrated as I could hear they were both awake and had taken way too short of nap. But then I watched over the monitor as Deacon rolled over to look at Paige and she played with him through the slats. Melted my heart. She also makes him laugh in the car, and still affectionately calls him "Pickles".
We love this squeezable, kissable, sweet, squealy, little boy!
