The past week at the Holm house...

Last weekend we went to the Brookfield Zoo with Bryce, Camille, and Graham (thanks to their guest passes!). It is an awesome zoo, with so much to see. The only downside was the humidity, which made us so hot and tired we even skipped to giraffes (and it made me not want to take many pictures)
Waiting for the dolphin show

Ben has never looked so short! (It said I was under 5'0", and it said Bryce...well he refused to get a picture :)

Gotta love having new carpet (it was put in right before we moved in, I did not pick it). Althoug it is great that it is new and clean, the little pieces of fuzz turn into giant balls in my vacuum and plug the whole thing. This has been a constant battle at our house...

This is the result of Ben's works' flag-football game. Gross.

My poor little Ben. He did throw the winning touchdown though, so it was all worth it :)

Since I wouldn't call cooking my strongest area, I was so proud of how pretty this salad turned out! Granted, Ben and I ony thought it tasted "ok", but it was cute to look at, and that's what matters, right?

Graham comes to play!

Ben and I got to watch my nephew, Graham, for the weekend and we had a blast! We tried to baby-proof the house before he came (I even made Ben install a baby lock on one of the cabinets), but nothing can truely prepare you for having a rambunctious 1 1/2 year-old around.
The first person to enjoy the master bath

I know he's closing his eyes, but I thought the smile was adorable. He and Ben bonded over french fries

He was great at Chilis, and loved the chips!

Playing with Noah's ark. I still haven't found one of the roosters...

Grocery shopping in our pantry. He would load up his bag with food and then come show us. He also would try to demand to eat the thing of frosting multiple times a day

Uncle Ben just loved having a helper to work on the speakers :)
Popping a wheelie (yes, this resulted in him falling backwards)

We had so much fun, but boy were we were worn out by the end (and the carpet under the table was in desperate need of vacuuming). We're so glad to get to live so close to him and have him come play!

New town, new house, new blog!

We moved into our townhome a few weeks ago and finally decided to take some pictures. It has taken some work (and some very appreciated help from my parents' handy skills), but it is starting to feel like home.

LOVE my new piano! My parents wanted all those years of lessons to be used, so this was their wonderful house-warming gift to us. Hope Ben is enjoying my practicing :)

Family Room

This picture doesn't do it justice, but I really like this hallway upstairs with our wedding pictures

It's great having our own closets!

Guest bedroom

Another extra room (don't worry, we have an air mattress for extra guests :) )

  Guest bathroom

Extra room downstairs with all the random stuff we don’t know where to put

The great view out the back
Ben cleaned the garage door and is very proud of it

That’s the place (besides 2 other bathrooms and a laundry room that weren’t picture worthy). It’s great to be able to call it out own, but it definitely means a lot of projects to keep us busy!
