Snow in Texas!?!

We were shocked (and as you can see by the looks of our pathetic "snow gear", slightly unprepared) to get snow here in Texas! As you can imagine, it was a major deal here! Schools were cancelled, Microsoft closed, and everyone was scared to drive.  To Ben coming from Minnesota, and us having lived in Illinois, this was pretty amusing. But I will say, the snow here is like part snow, part ice, and there are no plows, so the streets did get pretty slick. The first day of snow, we barely made it out before the majority had melted. But the second time we created a sled out of cardboard and went to the park in search of a "hill" (more like a slight slope...) Ghetto, yes, but the kids had a blast!
