4th of July
We were excited this year because it was our first year living in a neighborhood that does a cute little parade. (Not to mention, I swear Texans have a little extra American pride) We decorated the kids' scooters and scooted proudly down the street with the neighbors. They even had treats set up at the end. After that we headed over to our friends', the Craguns, for a pool party and BBQ. Our kids loved their diving board, and Deacon even bounced on the board until he got the entire group chanting for him. Then we finished off the day with hotdogs and fireworks in the church parking lot. (Perks of a flat state: you can really watch the fireworks from anywhere). We were exhausted by the end of the day, but it was a great way to celebrate the red, white, and blue!
