Originally my parents were taking my sister's family to Atlantis, and stopping in Dallas on the way. But somehow my very sweet parents decided I could use a little mommy break, and since Atlantis is my happiest place on earth, and they would already be stopping in Dallas anyway... I should just go with them! Luckily my sister was on board with me tagging along, and it was the perfect little getaway. It got a little tricky when a last minute change came up and we realized Ben and Deacon wouldn't be getting back until Monday, and I was leaving Sunday, but luckily Paige had a fabulous sleepover with our cute babysitter. And the babysitter put up with my Facetiming her 5 times from the Bahamas.
It's so different flying without kids. I packed treats for MYSELF, and like 10 different magazines I wanted to get caught up on. Amazing. The weather was great, and we basically just spent everyday doing the rides, floating the river, and riding up to another ride. Then at night, dinner, games, and hunting the the hotel with my mom for Diet Coke. It was nice to be able to just be an aunt for a change, and getting to have fun with my sister's kids. We played hard and were all completely exhausted by the time we left. It was so rejuvenating to just be a carefree kid for a few days. Thanks mom and dad for letting me come, and thanks Ben for going along with this crazy idea!
