This was our very first Christmas celebrating at our house. We were excited to not have to deal with the whole dragging your presents on airplanes thing and were thrilled to get to have my parents come stay with us! (This also let me convince Ben we needed outside Christmas lights put up. It turned out to be a little bit of a headache with the light people, but made us look like a real, festive family!) So we picked up my parents Monday and immediately hit up the Janie and Jack outlet, stopped at Cheesecake Factory and then headed to the Texas Motor Speedway light display. This wasn't totally what I thought it was going to be, but it had a lot of fun things for the kids to spot and a person dressed as the Grinch, which made Paige scared and yelling, "he's going to steal Christmas!"

Tuesday we spent the day getting some grocery shopping done, making muddy buddies to deliver to some friends, and then tried out the Frisco Square Lights we had been eagerly waiting to do. We loved it!! The lights cover the buildings and are coordinated to music! Our kind of lights :)
Friday we convinced the boys to let us try out the Plano lights I had heard about. This neighborhood was so decked out that there were even signs with different routes to follow. The best house had to be this one with the 4 dancing santas dressed up in Texas sports jerseys. We definitely got our fill of Christmas lights this year and I loved every minute!
Best lights we have ever seen. Everything is bigger and better in Texas!
