Post Christmas with Grandma & Grandpa

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday we tried to squeeze in as much fun as we could before my parents headed home. We also put my dad to work with projects like helping Ben put the elliptical together, fixing the sink, fixing a light, and as many random things as we could think of. We even made a hobby lobby run and my parents helped me/did the whole thing finally put a giant flower arrangement in our bathroom. Friday we tried Hutchins BBQ (new favorite) and got a babysitter for an adult date to see Unbroken. And dad bought a fishing pole so he could take Paige fishing in the neighborhood pond, which she loved!

 Matching coats

Saturday we headed out to see Southfork (where they film the show Dallas). It actually is a little less impressive in person, but since we all know the show it was really fun to see it. It was absolutely freezing, so a quick browsing of the gift shop and a few pictures was good enough.

We drove by the crazy high school stadium that cost millions of dollars and then the foundation went bad. It's absolutely ridiculous how huge and nice it is, but hey, anything for the state champs!

Then a delicious Tex-Mex dinner at La Hacienda Ranch to complete the night.

We had saved the kids' "Christmas Sunday" outfits to wear when my parents were here, so Sunday we finally took some pictures in front of the tree.

Thanks so much for coming Mom & Dad! You made it such a fun Texas Christmas!
