Paige and I loved getting to spend so much time with my family this summer, but we definitely missed Ben. We were hoping he would be able to fly in more to see us, but with his crazy work schedule (we're talking 17-20 hour work days, poor guy), it just didn't happen. So the end of July I left Paige with my parents (again! they were serious troopers), and flew to Dallas for the weekend. I got to see the ghetto apartment he was staying in and even try out his lovely air mattress (again, poor guy) for one night, and then we moved to a hotel :) We went out to eat a lot, visited the spot where JFK was killed, did some swimming and shopping, and just had a nice relaxing weekend together.
Back in WA Paige and I stayed busy....
-watching Kyle and Evan's soccer games
-Taking Paige to her first movie, Monsters University. Let's just say it will be a while before she goes to the theater again...
-Celebrating my dad's 55th birthday
-Spending almost every day on the lake. It was one of the nicest summers I can remember in WA and we took full advantage (Paige has the tan lines to prove it)! And in our matching swimsuits :)
-Seeing my best friend, Jamie, and her cute little girl, Sailor
-Discovering how big of fish are in my parents' lake. My dad was watching Paige one night and this is the picture he sends me....disturbing. (and ignore how ghetto Paige looks in this)
-Becoming hoarders. Paige got this purse for her birthday (it's actually one of my old purses), and would demand to fill it with strange things and take it with her places.
-Enjoying some last moments of Paige being the baby. I can't believe soon she'll be a big sister, so I am more than happy get in as many snuggles as possible these last few weeks, even if my lap is feeling a little full.

Your dad showed that picture of paige and the fish to everyone who would look.
ReplyDeleteShe is so adorable! I'll miss that cute gal!
