January plus: babies, basketball, singalongs, & superbowl

Being back from our Christmas break meant finally getting Deacon together with my two close friends' new babies.Their older kids are the same age as Paige, and their babies are about 3 months younger than Deacon, so it's so fun to get all the crazy kids together. It also results in 3 tired looking mommies.

Deacon, Zach, & Olivia
January also brought a lot of basketball. Not only does Ben play on 2 different intramural teams, but he is taking full advantage of his Duke tickets.
At one game he saw former President Bush Sr. He said he looked very old, but stood up and waved during the national anthem.
He also made it in 2 pictures that were posted of the game. One behind Jeff Foxworthy (Ben's top right), the other in the background of (his man crush) Jabari Parker. Serious perk of Ben and his friend Jeff being so tall is that they stand out in a crowd.

The first weekend in February, Paige, Deacon, and I (Ben was busy) went with our friends the Hamiltons, Lawlers, and Slatterys, to the Frozen sing-a-long. Paige didn't sing much, and thought I was too loud, but my friends and I had a fabulous time belting out the songs. Although I have to say, I didn't hear really anyone else in the theater....come on people, it's a sing-a-long!!
And how could I not mention my Seattle team winning the Superbowl!!! We had a few friends over, almost all of whom were rooting for the broncos, and I sat proudly in my blue and green as the Seahawks completely blew them out!
