Lovin' Valentine's

Valentines fell right in the middle of our "southern snow storm". The good thing about this was that classes at Duke were cancelled for the day, the bad thing was our plans got a little shifted around. Valentines morning Ben got up and made us a pink pancake breakfast and had written all of us a love note. Then we opened our gifts, and Ben surprised me big time with a new watch! Once I saw the box I was like a little kid who couldn't open it up fast enough. We normally don't do any gifts for this holiday, but it was such an exciting surprise....he got some serious sweet husband points. Paige was thrilled over the special breakfast and princess chocolates and proceeded to tell us how Santa brought it all (that dang Santa gets credit for EVERYTHING!) She also got special valentines' in the mail from both grandmas, so she thought Valentine's Day was awesome.
Don't judge my Diet Coke, I only have it with breakfast on holidays
Thankfully our friends were able to come over that night for games, since we were all getting a little bit of cabin fever from being stuck inside for a few days. Saturday we left Paige with a sitter and went out for Chipotle and Dave and Busters. Ben and I like dumb arcade type games like "Deal or No Deal", skee ball, basketball, etc, so it was fun, just super crowded (and we were the total old people that complained in the car about the loud music and dark lighting). We also got a lot of looks with my giant husband wearing our big baby in a little carrier.
Monday we were able to finally have our postponed Valentine's party. I had all the LDS-MBA wives and kids over to my house, which meant 19 little kids. It was a little chaotic but so much fun! Jessica did a cute pass the parcel game and then Mary helped the kids make heart hats.

Her little best friends, Gavin and Ben
Then the kids passed out valentines to each other. Paige was so excited about this and is still carrying around her bag of valentines from her friends.
