Marcus comes to visit

Ben's brother, Marcus, came to visit us in January. Marcus lived in North Carolina for a little bit a few years back, and thought he was a tarheels fan, but we changed his mind on that :) Paige was extremely eager for him to come, and after a little warming up, she got right into playing Doc McStuffins with him and showing him her toys. Saturday morning we went to Rise for donuts and biscuits. I actually had no idea how popular this place is, so it was packed, but I got to try my first cronut.

Then the boys were off to the Duke vs Florida State game. This was the main reason Marcus came out, to experience a Duke basketball game, and the boys had a great time (and of course took no pictures).
When they got back we headed out for some good southern BBQ at Q-Shack. Mmmmm hushpuppies.

And rounded out our healthy day with Goodberry's. We will forever be grateful to Marcus and Lauren for telling us about this delicious frozen custard place.

That night we hung out chatting and the boys caught a late movie. We're so glad he made the long flight (from California!) out here to visit. Paige was very upset when we deflated the air mattress because that was "uncle marcus' bed". Nothing like a fun uncle coming to visit!
