I cannot believe our sweet boy is already over 4 months. It makes me sad how quickly the newborn stage flies bye.
4 month stats:
weight: 17 lbs 10 oz
height: 25.25 in
head: 42.8 cm
Likes:
-Nursing. Has been a great nurser from day one. Likes to "hunt" for his food, searching all around trying to find the source
-His binkie. Total addict. And now thinks it's fun to take it out and try to put it back in.
-His swing, exercauser, bumbo, playmat
-Paige. Loves watching her play, laughing at her, and trying to grab her hairbows
-Getting his diaper taken off. A guaranteed smile every time you change him.
-Rattles and all toys he can try to suck on
-Drooling. Can soak his shirt. Then sucks on my shoulder and soaks me.
-Being swaddled, but usually breaks out of it throughout the night.
-Snuggling
Dislikes:
-His bouncer. Doesn't last long in it.
-When he thinks I've left the room. Becoming much more aware of that.
-Waiting to eat
-Falling asleep on his own...
Eating:
-Nurses every 3-4 hours during the day
-Started solid foods at 4 1/2 months. I planned on waiting longer, but he kept grabbing at our food, so I figured it was a sign. He started with bananas and loved them. He twirled his arms and tried to grab the spoon the whole time.
Sleeping:
-Our Christmas vacations, that included 2 different timezones, was rough on his sleeping. He's finally back on track, sleeping in the packnplay, from around 8pm-5am, then comes in our bed to snuggle until about 7, then decides he's ready to eat. Never thought I would still have him in our room at this point, but with Paige's crazy wake-up schedule, we just haven't braved putting them in the same room. Another problem is Deacon still sometimes has a hard time going down. He thinks he should be rocked, I think differently....it's a work in progress.
-Usually naps in his car seat while we're out around 10, then goes down for his second nap around 1:00.
-Likes to "sing" himself to sleep
-Likes to "sing" himself to sleep
And more:
-If you set him down he will always try to do a sit up. Constantly. And so far has had no interest in rolling over.
-Usually a fairly content, happy baby (except for his latest demands when trying to go down to sleep)
-Laughing more and more
-Ticklish. Especially in his thigh rolls and shoulders.
-Is a big, solid boy. We get a lot of comments on how big he looks.
-Has lost a lot of his hair and it's looking lighter and lighter. His eyes are still very blue, which makes me wonder if he'll end up looking just like Ben.
-Wearing some 3-6, but mostly 6-12 month clothes
-Has a talent of blowing out his diapers. We will soon be moving to size 4.
He is our sweet little baby that is growing up way too fast.

he's so cute!! cannot believe how big he is already.
ReplyDeleteLove his crunches. Also, he should not wear the blue sweater anymore....it makes him look far too old.
